How do I book a mobile valet?
Please book via the website to secure a booking. If you prefer to call, please do so. A deposit is required to secure any booking with Ultimate Valet Cambridge.
How long does a car valet take?
This depends on the valet service requested. Approximate timings are given on the valet service page. Typically, our entry level Full Valet can take from 90 mins for a small vehicle. Bigger valet services and additional work will take longer.
How environmentally friendly is your mobile car valeting service?
Ultimate Valet Cambridge prioritise using eco-friendly products and techniques, including biodegradable cleaning solutions and minimal water waste practices. Our PH neutral snow foam pre-wash and valeting chemicals are safe for both the environment and your vehicle, ensuring sustainability without compromising results. If water usage is an issue for you, we also cater for valets, using ONR (Optimum No Rinse).
How much for a full valet in and around Cambridge?
A full valet from Ultimate Valet Cambridge (wash, polish and interior vacuum) starts from £100, while deeper cleaning and valeting, our Ultimate Valet service, can range from £120 to over £180, plus potential extra charges for pet hair (£49) or heavily soiled interiors, which might cater for mould, vomit or paint spillages.
Why do I need to supply you with an outside tap and an electrical socket?
When I visit, I'll need access to an outside tap and a standard electrical socket. This allows me to reduce my environmental impact by avoiding the use of petrol-powered generators and carrying a large water tank. It keeps my carbon footprint lower and helps me operate more sustainably.
We run our equipment using the highest efficiency motors to save on running costs.
What are your cancellation fees?
A deposit of £25/£35 or £45 is taken at the time of your booking to secure your slot. If you cancel less than 48 hours of your appointment, the deposit is forfeited.
What if it rains?
Unfortunately, our work is ‘weather permitting’. unless you have undercover or happy to continue with the valet. I always keep a close eye on the weather. I will contact you a day or two before your booking if the weather is looking bad. If the weather still doesn’t look good we can rearrange another visit for you, if suitable. If the valet is required for a special occasion or a lease return deadline, please advise on the booking form.
What if I just want a quick exterior clean?
Unfortunately I am unable to offer this type of valet service to new customers, as my standards are much more rigorous than a quick clean.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our preferred method of payment is via bank transfer, once you have received your invoice/payment link. Cash is also accepted, along with card payments if advised in advance.
Do I need to empty my vehicle ready for my valet?
For me to efficiently finish your valet within the scheduled time, kindly make sure all personal items have been taken out of the vehicle.
What is the difference between valeting and detailing?
Car valeting involves a thorough clean of the exterior and interior of the vehicle. Vehicle detailing goes a step further, often involving processes like machine polishing, paint correction, and applying ceramic coatings to enhance and protect your car’s appearance. Do you offer scratch repair?
I am able to remove many scuffs and light abrasion scratches and swirls, if they are not too deep. They need to be on the surface clear coat layer, and not through the lacquer. As a general rule, if you can get your finger nail within the scratch, I would deem it too deep. Whilst I always strive for the best possible finish, I do not offer respraying or SMART repairs. If this is the case, I can recommend a trusted paint specialist.
Do you Price Match?
We definitely do NOT price match. My standard of valeting, customer service and communication speak for themselves. Just look at my Google reviews. Please do not hesitate to contact me though, if something is unaffordable, I am more than happy to help or refer.
Do I need to provide parking?
Yes, for your vehicle to be valeted, I will require off street parking next to or in very close proximity of your vehicle. Ideally, located on a driveway at your home, or alternative space outside, with minimal foot fall passing by. Work in a quiet cul de sac on the road is possible, but NO work will be carried out on a public road (insurance purposes) or public car park.
Can I pay for my valeting booking, after completion of the car valet?
Yes, payment for the balance is due upon completion. Payment can be made preferably via bank transfer, cash or card. A deposit would of already been paid, in advance via the website.
